Jake, 23 years old Trying to be a Cystic Fibrosis survivor, Cystic Fibrosis is a lung disease that slowly deteriorates as you get older due to lung infections such as staph, and psuedomonas eats away lung tissue. I have smoked marijuana for 6 years and am able to keep very reasonable lung function and only have been hospitalized once not due to Cystic Fibrosis which is remarkable. Instinct was telling me the whole time that smoking marijuana was fighting the infections and allowing antibiotics that i do receive to work very well. Glad to finally see that i was right and was doing the right thing the whole..!! Smoke up America its only medicine..

mmmm. . . so this research comes out of U Miss. Doesn't the University of Mississippi have the Government sanctioned (and financed) monopoly on growing cannabis for medical research in the United States? So I am wondering, given the stated difficulty other researchers have in securing cannabis for study, doesn't this situation also give an unfair (perhaps unconstitutional) advantage to U Miss in the development of cannabinoid medicines and patents?

Just wondering.

Lawmakers protect their own supply,(alcohol)! Let's get
any secussful buisness men out of government and install common since people who will make lawmakers respondsible for the money in their on bank accounts.Make them account for their own actions, and create the death penalty for the the ones for who do not keep Americans at heart.I think law enforcement would rather deal with a crimnal who is stoned more than any other type.Employers are missing out on the chance to hire the millions of excellent minds who are reliable and trustworthy.Let us ask our self if we would rather our on kid's to be drunk or high. Our goverment would rather spend our money on arrests, prosocution and inmate up keep! Who is more addicited, legal prescription yousers or pot smokers? Washingtonl law makers should try to quit sucking on the bottle and try (before they vote on our laws) to understand that they will die out,and while they are in hell wishing they could spend some of the money they wish they had, to remember that eternity is long and hot!Greed and Greed will be their downfall.Stop paying them with our votes!

MRSA is a mutated form of bacteria that has developed a resistance to antibiotics. If gone untreated, a MRSA-Staph infection can be fatal. Amidst all the hysteria, scientists are beginning to recognize that a particular type of honey, known as Manuka Honey, is actually effective against this notoriously resilient superbug.

I just find it humorous that after hundreds of these non-bias studies that have come to the conclusions that marijuana does indeed help many medical conditions, the government STILL turns a blind eye to the truth..

The study where they found that cannabinoids are on the skin was also a very good one.

Marijuana can be abused or used, they ARE different.

Blessed be for NORML!!! Without people like those involved in these types of organizations we would surely be living in the dark ages. I wonder why there isn't a class action suit or something to sue the government for it's obvious hypocritical discrimination against those who choose not to pay for the privilege of good physical and mental health.

Wow. Maybe this would explain why I hardly get infections. I'm not exactly sure if I even care for the government anymore. Why would they continue to keep cannabis illegal? Oh wait, MONEY! but it's our economy already failing?....I'm pretty sure that buy legalizing cannabis, it would help. I'm not saying it would dig us out of the giant financial whole we're living in..not even make a dent for that matter...but it might just help us de-stress about the OTHER shit going on with our Country.

Definately this is money driven, the government workers make their living by this prohibition, also drug companies as mentioned. The do-gooder population who want to control our lives for "our safety" is also involved. I have no respect for our government. To me all government workers at all levels should not be allowed to vote. They have a major conflict of interest. Additionally, anyone that takes government money should not vote. They so often vote for candidates that will continue that graft.IMHO.

I tell ya, I work 2 week long outdoor concert events during the summer one is a Country Music Event, the other is a Rock Event.
The drunk cowboys are a disaster. Hell raising, cops everywhere busting people, all kinds of crazy crap. The stoned metal heads at the rock event... It's all good. No fights, no problems, no bullshit. I'll spend a week with a stoner any day over a drunk.

They will continue to ignore them as long as people still believe the racial and social bull that Anslinger promoted to make it illegal in the first place.

Its also nearly impossible to regulate, which is more than likely the main reason of why it is still illegal.

I honestly hope some one starts paying attention to this soon though.
