I have been very let down by all of our President’s since Nixon. I have voted for Nader and All other’s of different parties. I find that produces no reasonable possibilities of your proposition passing. As to Possible Cannabis Reform, the only hope this coming Presidential Term is Obama.
Our White Leader’s have failed us. (And yes I am White) Our elected officials need to change this failed policy. I am going to vote for change.
At this point, even if Obama’s V.P. was Satan, I would still vote Obama!!!
I have served my Country. In the eyes of a warrior, I have to choose who will fight for me and my cause, which is to calm my hyper vigilant mind and soothe the pain I feel daily. At this point, the only semi-realistic hope I can hang my hat on is actually Palin. She has admitted smoking pot, and Alaska is the one state where you can legally grow and use marijuana in the privacy of your own home.

She’s a middle-class mom who hangs with a very diverse crowd in a state where pot is legal. She probably already recognizes the injustices of our drug laws… something entirely legal in Alaska will put you in prison in almost every other state.

But the thing I find most encouraging is that Palin has promised a that every government agency will undergo a thorough examination, looking for ways to consolidate and cut costs. Can you think of any government agency that is as abusive and wasteful as the DEA?

Obama was the first presidential candidate I ever took the trouble to give money to. That was early in the race, when he was the underdog vs. the Clintons. Now that he has taken (anti-potsmoker) Biden on as VP, I am forced to write in Ron Paul next month. These two parties have a stranglehold on our country. When will we say “enough is enough”?

Yes, the title of this article is wrong. Palin never mentioned “Joe Doobie” and the drug warriors put enough bullshit into the mouths of others. Having said that, it is rather shocking/enlightening that this Joe Sixpack comment has been completely accepted by our rather drunken world. I drink and I smoke and I have said for years that cannabis should be just as illegal as growing your own tomatoes. MOST of us know that without pot to beat up on there would be no drug war at all. I caught the part about “Joe Sixpack”. Where does Palin say that Joe Doobie should be in jail? Or did you just make that up and put it in your title because it sounded good?

I also like how you avoid mentioning the key role Biden has played in writing the most heinous prohibition laws.

Stop being partisan, you lose half of our potential supporters when you do. And we need all of them to support our cause, even if they have reservations about Obama.
