So in other words even parts of Arkansas and Texas are more lenient and tolerant about marijuana than Oklahoma? Makes it hard to be 'patriotic' about my own home state, and more prone to take my hard earned dollars to another one.

I say this is a huge step in the right direction and the fact that Arkansas watns this and texas too means that times are changing for the future. I think the south are the states that will create the wave of change that is so badly needed in this sense. Once the country sees that the bible belt is for it then I think the rest will follow with bells on.

Every little win in the fight for marijuana law reform is progress in the overall war for marijuana law reform. Great work by everyone in Fayetteville!

Drive through your town pick out the drug stores. These are corporate owned drug outlets they sell drugs. They are legal drug pushers. You can buy herion derivative or codine and thousands of other drugs many more potent more addictive and bad for you much worse than the so called illegal drugs. This is all legal and produces billions of profits and tax income for our country. The so called illegal drugs like marijuana cannot be purchased at the legal drug store. Why you ask because the legal drug pushers have not found a way to make money off it! They are trying to develop a pill using THC it will be legal and they will patent it and sell it at a huge profit. Why can we not raise and sell marijuana as a cottage industry? They don't want us to they cannot make money on it that way. So they pay our law makers to keep marijuana illegal because it is projected they would lose 80% of there sales because marijuana is that good, scares them to death. We need to end pacs and lobbiest from buying our representatives so they can start representing us they way it was meant to be. This entire war on us is for greed they do not want a weed you can grow and replace 80% of there profits. Stop the war on the poor, black and powerless they will not respect a law based on lies and greed.......

How much longer will the majority of Americans allow our out of control government enslave us? The drug war was illegal from day one so they back doored it using the tax stamp routine. We are being victimized by our leaders for pure greed. Our rights are being taking away daily using the War on Drugs as an excuse. Free Americans will never respect or conform to a law that is based on lies and enforced to ensure corporate profits. We are adult free Americans and will not stop fighting until we win our rights and freedoms back.

What exactly do these ordinance achieve? I mean it's great go head I'd vote for it, but how do we gauge if police are following the ordinance? If police ignore the ordinance what then?

In my case the cops lied, manufactured evidence, threatened witnesses, seized and stole thousands of dollars of property from my home. when I say stole I mean took home with them as apposed to taking it to their evidence lock up as part of the seizure.
While in county they told me outright it was just business and if I would give them someone bigger they would return my seized property. So seeing as they do pot bust as pretext for departmental/governmental/personal theft you can pass as many priority ordinances as you want, but when it comes right down to it there is no money to be made catching rape-est and murders.

In fact Not catching people like that helps them justify their ever expanding budgets. After all if they said they needed a thousand new officers to bust potheads they wouldn't get them would they.
