Think of it this way: If it's legal to grow and consume the herb, then alcohol and tobacco use will decrease. With alcohol and tobacco use down, those industries will shrink and tax revenues will decrease. Also, with decreased use of alcohol and tobacco, diseases will decrease and general health will improve proportionally.
Why is marijuana illegal? Because otherwise, the people in power will loose power and the people out of power will gain power. Use your vote!...

Make sure you don't get too baked next time the ballot opens. There is a way to make it happen and you gotta get up and vote douche or turd sandwich. We can talk about it...or raise hell about it...
Join the movement...get the word out..
If you can flood their e-mail boxes, answering machines and mailboxes with the demand of the people. There gotta listen if they want to keep their job.
Why do these drug war people keep getting voted in, because we voted for them.

Marijuana makes my life less stressful and gives me a good nights sleep. I'm Canadian and our government has no balls or concept of the real world either. We now have some moronic mandatory minimum law, Bill-C15 (google it). I've been smoking for over 30 years and some of my most pleasant moments were when I was high and enjoying life with my friends. I thought the U.S. constitution referred to "Life", "Liberty" and the pursuit of Happiness. Without our liberties there can be no life and no happiness. I hope I live to see the day (just turned 50) when pot is legal and people will look back and shake their heads about the stupidity of the marijuana laws.I don't think it will happen until the teens of today take office and put some brains back into government. The synthetic drugs and the side-effects of this crap I see advertised on tv every makes me want to puke. I believe there should be a referendum to let the people decide.

P.S. When they come for Louie...it's like the words carved over the doors in the gladiators room leading into the colesium.

"All those who pass through these portals...give up hope."

I have said it before, and I'll say it agian, and again, ad infinitum.

"If I didn't have my freedom, I would die fighting for it...because...I would rather die on my feet, than live on my knees. But...dear God...I pray it doesn't come to that. They can have me...but...they better send an army to get Louie.

I have said it before and I will say it again. If you want to save this country, VOTE INDEPENDENT!!! All Dem and GOP candidates are BEHOLDEN TO THE PARTIES INTERESTED IN MAINTAINING THE STATUS QUO BY DEFAULT! The only way to get real change, is to elect people not being paid by people who make their money off the way things are.

So in 2010, when you are trying to think of which candidate will do what you think is the right thing, consider only two factoids: "Does the candidate share my values", and "was the candidate paid monies by groups opposed to my values"? If only number one is true, that is still better than most of us get. Quit voting for the lesser of two evils (you are still voting for EVIL that way) VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE, VOTE INDEPENDENT in 2010!
