We’re back in studio this Saturday for our special Halloweed show! Our guest is ROBERT PLATSHORN, a.k.a. “The Black Tuna”. We’ll be discussing his life as America’s longest-imprisoned (30 years) non-violent marijuana offender, once referred to by President Carter’s attorney general as one of the “slickest, most sophisticated pot smugglers of the 70’s.” Read all about it in Platshorn’s book, “The Black Tuna Diaries”.

Hey guys I dressed up as a legal marijuana joint for Halloween. Went by the police station and scared the beejeezus out of ‘em. They were scared screaming and running and hiding saying they never saw anything so scary as legal marijuana. It was pure craziness.

If prohibitionists want to criminalize a truely dangerous substance, they should take a look at refined sugar. Three decades for dealing cannabis? How much time did those C.I.A. agents get for smuggling tons of cocaine into this country? Oh, sorry, they were working for the U.S. Government.
