Question: person driving turns around in a unknown traffic stop to return for something theu fogot, gets out of their car to return to a dwelling...police follow and arrests for evading a stop as person is moving toward a dwelling, searches the suspect...nothing found as probable cause for a search, keys to car are taken...locked car is searched and marijuana is found in small amounts....person is convicted of evading a stop, and possession of marijuana...what are the consequences...what is your advice?

[Editor's note: You need to speak to a criminal defense lawyer in the area where the bust occurred. There maybe issues re the search (notably the taking of the car keys and conducting what could have been an illegal search).

You can find a list of NORML members who're criminal defense lawyers here.]

wow that guy who decided to use my name ranted his ass off. through the typos amd horrid grammar, he still made some accurate points. outlawing a plant that (when eaten or vaporized) has no physiological drawbacks as a medication is stupid.so the government says we can poison and kill ourselves all we want, but my constitutional rights as an american come into question over a plant that could soothe millions of americans pain. god bless america. land of the not so free and the home of the sheeple.

the only thing I find funny and also sad at the same time is that NORMAL actually thinks that our president actually runs this country.THey are just pupets finishing the hidden ajenda and arguing to the president is like arguing to the cashier at mcdonallds for a refund. You need to talk to the manager and maybe even corporate. The cashier(president) hasn o authority to do anything more than fullfill his job bossed by the real boss.

our only real hope is in state legislation.Federal is out of our hands.Anyones hands. The hidden hand is to strong.

Problem is the Federal Law. Unfortunately the federal law is what is putting Mr. Eppis back behind bars, the crux being his local within a certain distance of a public school
