OK folks its time to make a stand.
The only thing that can get things done is money and votes. Most of us have voting rights, some have money. Email this message to your elected officials and stand firm. Also send to like minded friends and family:
To the President, Members of the US Congress, State and local elected officials:
Criminal marijuana prohibition is a failure. Over 20 million Americans have been arrested for marijuana offenses since 1965 with over 800,000 arrests in 2010. The problem is getting worse – not because of the benign plant, but because of the obsolete laws. The time has come to amend criminal prohibition and replace it with a system of legalization, taxation, regulation, and education.
I can no longer vote for elected officials that support the the current laws. I have decided not to vote for any politician that does not publicly support the removal of all penalties for the private possession and responsible use of marijuana by adults, including cultivation for personal use, and casual nonprofit transfers of small amounts.
& Member of the Movement
Women will be the factor that tip the scales in the positive direction-
that we need to be in for full blown (medical and recreational cannabis legalisation.
otherwise, pot will continue to be some “sneaky thing’ that the boys do, like the old dart- board and the beer cans in the garage.
Dear NORML Women’s Alliance, You are the most beautiful representation in nature! You are the human embodiment of the preferred cannabis sex! You are the majority!
Thank you for your continued efforts to shape the public thought on cannabis. I believe that women are so important in the cannabis reform movement for their opinion can greatly influence how comfortable a man can be with consuming cannabis, or changing the law. It is with suggestion and consideration that we find our most powerful of persuasion. Ladies, you also have more leverage with the men you are closest to, you can encourage them to be vocal on the topic of reform and thus expand your forces. I think of you all as the most powerful driving force in this movement, you do not have to be loud to get the wheels to turn, you must simply carry the message in your hearts to those closest to you and then the pistons will carry the energy to the wheels of politics. We men might have more of us in office, but we all know it is women that have their say keep a home happy. If this was a matter of logic and real science, cannabis would have never been prohibited. You are the one who can show all the sides of the issue and convince our species to change the laws.
If you live in Connecticut and want to end marijuana prohibition in our state, please take a minute to visit http://www.ctprimaryproject.com.
Please pass this on to anyone you know in Connecticut!
