Come on Georgia I am at least the 3rd person to say GA = Bass Ackward capital of the south east which totally needs medicinal marijuana legalization! If you are in a position to move do yourself a favor and go to a green state dont make the mistake of going to one a red one holding your breath hoping for things that are taking waaay to long to come about. The stinking alcohol drug and tobacco companies are all in cohoots with the lawmakers so deep that I do not know if these laws will ever be changed in some of these places where the lawmakers are already biased by religious or moral views, ignorant lines of thought, and under the financial influence of special interests groups and their “advocates.”

In South Carolina We had a vote along time ago on medical MJ but it was not advertized until the last minute to advertize it. All We would have to do is include pain management in it.

Update!!! It still is legal. Under the south Carolina therapeutic studies act of 1979 (or something relatively close) was passed in 1980 so that Dr.s could advise the use of mmj to those with aids, glacoma, and cancer. Making it the first state to allow mmj.

To RBH and California Carl..if you knew your history you would both know you are wrong. SC was the first state ever to allow medical marijuana. Google it. They did however impose other laws to nullify medical use

South Carolina will be the last one to even consider any change to the MMJ laws. Thats because the good ol boys are making to much money on sales, court cost and punishment. Ask anyone who lives here.
